GOVERNOR OBEREVWORI CLAPS BACK AT OMO-AGEGE OVER MEDIA AWARD CRITICISM

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has responded firmly to remarks made by former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who questioned the governor’s recognition as THISDAY Governor of the Year.

During a visit to Kwale, Omo-Agege accused Oborevwori of using state resources to secure the award. In a swift rebuttal, Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Charles Aniagwu, defended the honor, describing it as a reflection of the governor’s achievements in governance and development.

He highlighted several completed and ongoing projects under Oborevwori’s administration, emphasizing that the award was well-earned.

“Constructive criticism is welcome, but questioning the merit of the award sounds more like bitterness,” Aniagwu remarked, urging Omo-Agege to recognize Delta’s progress rather than engage in political attacks.

Aniagwu further noted that the state had awarded over 15 kilometers of road projects in Ndokwa Nation, underscoring the administration’s focus on development.
