The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released the guidelines for the conduct of its 2026 Presidential Primaries, alongside the appointment of members of the Presidential Primary Election Committee and the Presidential Primary Appeal Committee.
The party also announced the designation of State Coordinators and Collation Officers to oversee the primary election process across the country, as part of efforts to ensure a transparent, credible, and orderly exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the party, the decisions were approved by the National Working Committee (NWC) in line with the provisions of the APC Constitution, the Electoral Act, and the party’s commitment to internal democracy and due process.
The APC stated that the newly released guidelines outline the procedures, eligibility requirements, timetable, and operational framework for the conduct of the presidential primaries, while the committees are expected to supervise and adjudicate the process to guarantee fairness and accountability.
The party reaffirmed its determination to conduct a peaceful and inclusive primary election that reflects the democratic aspirations of its members nationwide.
