The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced that aspirants seeking its ticket for the November 8 Anambra governorship election will pay N30 million to obtain the nomination and expression of interest forms.
This was disclosed by APGA’s National Organising Secretary, Ifeanyi Mbaeri, in a statement released in Abuja on Thursday, 27th February. According to him, the party has scheduled its special state congress and governorship primary for April 5.
Mbaeri further revealed that female aspirants and physically challenged persons would receive a five percent discount on the nomination fee, with the sale of forms set to begin on Friday, February 28. He, however, noted that the party leadership reserves the right to adjust the schedule if necessary.
“The sale of forms will run from February 28 to March 20, while aspirants will be screened on March 28 at the APGA National Headquarters in Abuja,” Mbaeri stated.
