KADUNA RALLIES BEHIND TINUBU AS ABBAS DECLARES NO RIVAL AHEAD OF 2027 POLL

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has stated that President Bola Tinubu faces no credible rival in Kaduna State as the 2027 presidential election approaches. Abbas made the assertion during the President’s one‑day working visit to the state, highlighting Tinubu’s deep and practical commitment to the state as evidenced by numerous federal infrastructure projects and institutional reforms.
According to Abbas, “Kaduna has no reason to consider any other candidate in 2027. The President’s hands‑on approach has brought federal projects that directly benefit our state.” During the visit, Tinubu inaugurated several landmark projects, including the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun, Soba, and Samaru‑Kataf, a 300‑bed hospital in Kaduna Millennium City, and multiple arterial roads like the 24km Kafanchan Township Road and the 22km Kauru‑Pambegua Road. The President also launched 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses as part of a wider transportation initiative.
Reinforcing the state’s loyalty, Abbas announced the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign target for Kaduna: an increase in the party’s voter share from 30% in 2023 to 60% by 2027. “We are united, focused, and ready to deliver for the President,” Abbas said. “This is not just rhetoric — it is a coordinated effort backed by a community that believes in your leadership.”
He also commended Tinubu for projects such as the Abuja‑Kaduna‑Zaria‑Kano highway reconstruction and the $2.8 billion Ajaokuta‑Kaduna‑Kano gas pipeline, which is approximately 72% complete. The Speaker emphasized that these infrastructural investments, coupled with the federal government’s upgrade of institutions like Ahmadu Bello University, the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, and the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, have strengthened Kaduna’s role as an educational and economic powerhouse. “These are not abstract gestures,” Abbas stated, “they are concrete evidence of a leadership that listens, delivers, and inspires trust across Nigeria.”
