NATIONAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEES ANNOUNCE FISCAL GOVERNANCE CONFERENCE

The House and Senate Committees on Public Accounts have jointly announced the National Conference on Public Accounts and Fiscal Governance, set to hold from July 6 to 10, 2025, at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
Chaired by Rep. Bamidele Salam (House PAC) and Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (Senate PAC), the conference will focus on reforming Nigeria’s fiscal governance frameworks. It aims to create synergies between legislators, the executive, civil society, and international development partners.
With the theme “Fiscal Governance in Nigeria: Charting a New Course for Transparency and Sustainable Development,” the conference will feature capacity-building for PAC members, auditors-general, commissioners of finance, and other stakeholders. It will also examine audit automation, anti-corruption policies, and digital financial management.
President Bola Tinubu is expected to declare the event open, and participation from the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, ALGON, and various MDAs has been confirmed.
