Former federal lawmaker and PDP chieftain, Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke, has described the growing opposition coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a potentially transformative political movement.
In an interview in Port Harcourt, Nwuke said the initiative—despite its flaws—offers Nigerians an alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections. “This coalition gives voters a fresh political marketplace,” he said, even as he admitted his continued membership in the PDP.
Nwuke acknowledged the PDP’s internal struggles and said he is aligned with like-minded individuals committed to future reforms. While he hasn’t defected, his comments reflect the shifting political alignments occurring nationwide as new coalitions challenge the dominance of both PDP and APC.
