TINUBU ORDERS APC GOVERNORS TO SIT UP, SAYS “GRASSROOTS ARE STILL COMPLAINING”

President Bola Tinubu has issued a clear directive to APC governors and elected officials: deliver tangible results at the grassroots or risk losing public confidence.
Speaking at the 14th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the APC in Abuja, Tinubu said Nigerians remain largely dissatisfied. “You have to wet the ground. People are still complaining,” he warned.
Tinubu said the strength of the APC lies in local-level impact, and urged leaders to reconnect with citizens and elevate service delivery.
He also announced plans to build a new APC National Secretariat in Abuja. “We’ll find appropriate land and construct a befitting facility,” he said. The current party headquarters, Muhammadu Buhari House, he noted, no longer meets the party’s long-term needs.
Party leaders in attendance included Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Akpabio, House Speaker Abbas, and former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
