Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has officially remained suspended from his role as National Vice-Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). APGA’s national leadership reaffirmed the suspension following internal disputes over conduct and oversight responsibilities.
The party’s leadership cited alleged breaches of party constitution and protocol in their decision. While details of the specific breaches were not fully disclosed, they reportedly relate to failure to attend mandated meetings and possibly making public statements contrary to party positions.
Abaribe has not publicly commented in detail on the suspension, but supporters within the party have criticized the decision as heavy-handed. Meanwhile, other APGA members are waiting for the disciplinary committee to convene to hear any appeal or defence.
