Former Senate President David Mark has urged members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to see the party’s future as pivotal to Nigeria’s democratic competition. He said the party cannot afford missteps or internal fragmentation if it is to become a serious force in Nigerian politics.
Mark emphasized the need for internal discipline, clear ideological positioning, grassroots outreach, and credible candidates in upcoming elections. He warned that opposition fragmentation only helps the dominant parties maintain hold on power.
His comments came during an ADC stakeholders’ meeting, where he called for unity around key principles and a collective mindset to challenge the current two-party dominance.
