The Allied Democratic Congress (ADC) Chairmen’s Forum has publicly distanced itself from a purported schedule of party congresses that has been circulating on social media and in some political circles. In a formal statement, the forum insisted that no official timetable for ward, local government, state, or national congresses had been issued or endorsed by the party leadership.
The declaration comes amid heightened internal party tensions, with factional disputes over leadership direction and organisational processes ahead of the 2027 election cycle. The ADC Chairmen’s Forum emphasised that only announcements released through authorised party channels including the National Headquarters and officially sanctioned communication platforms are valid.
Party stakeholders and grassroots officials have been urged to disregard the alleged schedule and refrain from organising or participating in any congress activities claiming association with the purported timetable. The forum reaffirmed its commitment to uphold the party constitution and collaborative decision-making, warning that any unilateral actions by individuals or interest groups could undermine the ADC’s cohesion and electoral prospects.
