JAMB Opens Institution And Course Change Portal For 2026 UTME Candidates The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the process

for candidates seeking to change their institutions or courses following the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.

According to a statement issued via its official X handle and signed by its spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the exercise is now active nationwide and accessible to all eligible candidates.

JAMB explained that applicants who wish to modify their choices of institution or programme must do so only through accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the country. The board warned candidates to avoid unauthorised centres in order to prevent errors, manipulation, or fraudulent transactions.

The agency stressed that the correction window is designed to help candidates realign their admission preferences based on their UTME scores and available institutional cut-off marks.

It further advised candidates to carefully review their options before making any changes, as mistakes during the process could affect their admission chances in the 2026 academic session.

In addition, JAMB announced that the printing of original 2026 UTME result slips will begin on Monday, May 18, 2026.

The original result slip contains candidates’ passport photographs, personal details, and security features required for verification during admission screening and clearance into tertiary institutions.

Education officials say the release of the change-of-course portal is a critical step in the annual admission cycle, allowing candidates to adjust their choices before final admission lists are compiled by universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

The board reiterated its commitment to a transparent and credible admission process, urging candidates to strictly follow official procedures and guidelines throughout the exercise.
