A good governance advocate, Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr., says Governor Peter Mbah’s “Tomorrow Is Here” agenda is beginning to deliver measurable results in Enugu State, three years after assuming office.
In a statement marking the administration’s third anniversary, Nwaokobia noted visible progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security and economic development across the state.
He said major road construction and urban renewal projects have improved connectivity and boosted commercial activities, especially for small businesses in both urban and rural communities.
Nwaokobia also praised the government’s education reforms, particularly the Smart Green Schools initiative, describing it as a modern approach aimed at equipping students with digital and technical skills for the future.
In the health sector, he highlighted the ongoing construction of 260 Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres across the state, saying the project could significantly improve access to quality healthcare at the grassroots level.
On security, he commended increased investment in surveillance systems and collaboration among security agencies, which he said has contributed to a more stable environment for residents and investors.
He further observed that economic policies focused on agriculture, small businesses, and internally generated revenue are gradually strengthening the state’s economic base and attracting investment.
While acknowledging challenges linked to the wider national economy, Nwaokobia urged the administration to sustain reforms and ensure that development benefits reach more communities.
He concluded that the coming years would be crucial in consolidating ongoing projects and deepening reforms across all sectors in Enugu State.
