Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, says the commitment to deliver over one million votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election remains firm and irreversible.
Governor Namadi made the declaration while speaking with journalists after participating in the presidential primary election in his ward in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
He said the large turnout of party members during the exercise demonstrated strong confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, adding that the level of participation reflected the President’s popularity within the state.
According to him, the exercise also showed that the All Progressives Congress, All Progressives Congress, remains united and firmly positioned ahead of the 2027 elections.
Governor Namadi commended party members for what he described as orderly conduct and discipline throughout the process, noting that it reflected the maturity of internal democracy within the party.
He further stated that the outcome of the primary sends a strong signal of the party’s preparedness for victory at all levels in the forthcoming general elections.
The governor urged stakeholders and supporters to begin early mobilisation and strategic planning ahead of the 2027 polls, while reaffirming confidence in President Tinubu’s continued leadership.
