
Honourable Mohammed Idris Malagi, Minister of Information and National Orientation of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria, is set to serve as Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker at the
Papyrus Global Mayors Conference & Awards (PAGMACA) 2026.
His participation is expected to bring strong policy direction and deepen conversations around the role of strategic communication in governance, particularly as it connects national frameworks with grassroots implementation.
In his keynote address, Minister Malagi is expected to emphasize the critical importance of local government autonomy and state policing, highlighting their role in strengthening governance, security, and service delivery at the grassroots level.
In addition, he is expected to call for stronger partnerships between government, private
sector, and development organizations, encouraging innovative and collaborative approaches to addressing key challenges such as urbanization, youth unemployment, insecurity, and climate resilience.
