A coalition of youth organisations under the Forum 36 Leadership and Stakeholders has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General of his 2027 presidential campaign.
In a communiqué issued after a strategic meeting tagged “Youth Consultative Meeting on National Development and the 2027 Presidential Project,” the group said effective leadership and strong political coordination will be critical to the President’s re-election bid.
The document, jointly signed by Comrade Oluyemi Olusina and Munir Abdulrahman, described Senator Yari as a politically experienced figure with wide grassroots appeal and national acceptance across ethnic and religious lines.
The forum said Yari’s leadership capacity and political network make him well-suited to mobilise support nationwide and strengthen campaign structures ahead of the 2027 elections.
It also commended President Tinubu for his reform efforts, youth inclusion policies and commitment to national development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The group stressed that the choice of a campaign director-general should be based on competence, loyalty, inclusiveness and the ability to unite diverse political interests.
Forum 36 further urged Nigerian youths to remain actively engaged in democratic processes, promote voter education and support peaceful political participation ahead of the next general elections.
The youth coalition reaffirmed its commitment to national unity, urging young people across the country to contribute positively to governance and democratic stability.
