BENUE STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL DISSOLVED; FORMER AG APPOINTED CHIEF OF STAFF

Governor Hyacinth Alia has dissolved the Executive Council in a major administrative reshuffle. Barrister Moses Atagher, former Attorney General and Justice Commissioner, has been appointed Chief of Staff with immediate effect following the 12th EXCO meeting of 2025 .
According to Chief Press Secretary Tersoo Kula, only commissioners were affected by the dissolution. Outgoing members were directed to hand over to permanent secretaries. Former Attorney General Bemsen Mnyim, on behalf of the group, expressed gratitude and described public service as a formative, educational experience.
