Benin City — The appointment of former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Kabiru Adjoto, as Chairman of the Edo State Local Government Service Commission has continued to receive commendations. A political forum of grassroots leaders described the appointment as a reward for service, loyalty, and capacity.
Members of the forum stated that Adjoto’s legislative experience and grassroots connections make him well-suited to strengthen local government administration and promote efficiency in service delivery. They noted that effective local governance remains central to Edo’s development, particularly in rural areas where basic services are lacking.
The group praised Governor Okpebholo for what they called a strategic appointment and urged Adjoto to justify the confidence reposed in him.
