APC targets 2 MILLION new MEMBERS in ENUGU as E-REGISTRATION DRIVE kicks off

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched its electronic membership e‑registration exercise in Nkanu West Local Government Area, Enugu State, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots structures and broaden party participation ahead of future elections. The campaign flagged off on January 12, 2026 marks a strategic push to consolidate political support through digital verification of members.

At the inauguration in Akwugo Ward 2, APC officials highlighted that building a credible, verifiable national register is central to enhancing mobilisation capacity and ensuring effective engagement with voters and supporters at the grassroots level. Uche Kelvin Edeh, the APC e‑registration zonal coordinator for Enugu East, said the exercise aims to deepen “people‑driven party structures” from the ward level upward.

Edeh explained that the process will support the party’s broader goals of consolidating support for ongoing governance initiatives and laying the groundwork for future electoral success, including the 2027 general election cycle. He stressed that efficient data capture, collaboration with local government officials and community involvement are key to a smooth and transparent registration roll‑out.

The registration effort also underscores the APC’s push to bolster its presence in states like Enugu, where party leaders believe stronger structures will drive participation, accountability and grassroots engagement ahead of national contests
