Aliko Dangote’s Dangote Refininery has reaffirmed its ability to supply 75 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), 25 million litres of diesel, and 20 million litres of aviation fuel daily, signaling a major boost to Nigeria’s domestic fuel sufficiency and export potential.
The company stated that its production capacity positions Nigeria to significantly reduce reliance on imported refined petroleum products while strengthening foreign exchange earnings through regional fuel exports. Industry observers note that sustained output at this scale could stabilize domestic fuel supply, improve price predictability, and support aviation and industrial sectors with more reliable energy access.
Dangote Refinery also emphasized its readiness to meet both local consumption demands and international supply commitments, underscoring its role as a strategic national asset in Nigeria’s energy transition. Analysts say the refinery’s output could reshape fuel logistics in West Africa and strengthen Nigeria’s economic leverage in the downstream petroleum market.
