Chukwuemeka Kalu, a prominent politico in Abia State and an aspirant for the APC ticket, has pledged to gracefully concede the party’s primary if he does not win the nomination. Speaking with reporters, Kalu said internal party democracy should be respected and promised to support the chosen candidate in the interest of party unity and electoral success.
Kalu emphasised that APC’s ability to present a united front will be critical to its competitiveness in Abia, urging that the primary be conducted transparently. He also highlighted his readiness to work within party structures to strengthen the party’s grassroots outreach and policy platform ahead of the general election cycle. Political watchers say such public commitments can help reduce post-primary rancour if all stakeholders adhere to the same spirit of sportsmanship.
