Tinubu Nominates Doro as Minister Following APC Chairman Yilwatda’s appointment

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated Doro to a ministerial position, filling a vacancy created after the APC national chairman, Yilwatda, vacated a previous role to assume party leadership responsibilities. The nomination is part of routine cabinet adjustments following changes in party and government appointments, and will now proceed to the Senate for confirmation in line with constitutional procedure.

The presidency described the nominee as experienced in public service and party affairs, noting that the move aims to maintain continuity in government operations while aligning political leadership with administrative responsibilities. The Senate’s confirmation process will consider the nominee’s credentials, background and suitability for the ministerial brief.

Political observers expect the nomination to be fast-tracked while attention remains focused on sustaining policy momentum across affected ministries. The administration said it remains committed to filling all key positions with competent professionals who can drive the government’s development agenda.
